Tongji university green development and circular economy innovation center is an open and efficient public r&d innovation center (hereinafter referred to as the innovation center), which is jointly established by tongji university, JOKOSON  (Shanghai) environmental technology co., LTD., Yangpu district government of Shanghai and Taixing city government of Jiangsu province. The innovation center has established a new mode of cooperation between regional schools and enterprises, and promoted a new mode of industrial development of "2+2+1+N" through cooperation among the four parties. Among them, the first "2" on behalf of the two governments linkage (Yangpu district government and Taixing city government), the second "2" on behalf of the school district to cooperate (Tongji university and Taixing high-tech zone), "1" represents dominated by ilse heptyl environment ecological innovation platform, "N" on behalf of multiple new technology incubation projects on innovation center, formed the "administration, production, study and research, information and" five one new mode of cooperation.

The innovation center adopts the chairman operation system and the director responsibility system under the leadership of the council. The council is the leading body of the innovation center, which is composed of Tongji university, JOKOSON environment, Yangpu district government of Shanghai and Taixing city government of Jiangsu province. Among them, Tongji university as the chairman unit, JOKOSON environment, Yangpu district government, Taixing city government as the deputy chairman unit. The board of directors shall establish the chairman, vice-chairmen and directors. The chairman of the board shall be responsible for decision-making, convening of meetings, and appointment of the director or executive director of the centre. Under the leadership of the council, the council appoints the director or executive director of the centre to be responsible for the operation and management of the centre. The center sets up the secretariat, the research department and the project department as the department of operation and daily work.

The innovation center has three main functions.

(1) Scientific and technological innovation and green technology r&d and innovation center, providing intellectual transmission for green technology, environmental protection management technology and circular economy technology innovation.

(2) Incubate innovation centers for new product technologies and support the landing of innovative technology industries.

(3) Fund innovation center, special incubation fund and industrial fund for co-construction of ecological environment, providing financial support to enterprises in the innovation center.

The innovation center mainly focuses on source control, green material selection, zero emission control, end management, recycling and all aspects of the whole industrial chain control, focusing on the following technical areas:

(1) Research and development of green material innovation technology;

(2) Green ecological planning;

(3) Zero-emission process optimization package innovation technology;

(4) Future environmental innovation technologies (such as the construction of zero-energy sewage treatment plants);

(5) Environmental Internet of things technology and environmental data monitoring network technology;

(6) Environmental big data decision-making and intelligent environmental management technology;

(7) Developing innovative technologies for recycling economy of resource utilization.
